I got up really early on Sat morning and headed to Mpls for Scrapfest at the Mall of America where I took 5 classes...my favorite class was the one with Heidi Swapp using glimmer mist and my least favorite was the one with Melody Ross (as she was so disorganized) and we didn't get much accomplished in the class...but overall it was a great experience and I was SO TIRED after driving 2 hours; running around the mall from class to class (you remember what that was like don't you Kelly??), and then driving 2 hours home...ugghh!!!
But I had to get home as Kevin and I were headed to Green Bay Saturday night as we had tickets for the Packer game on Sunday!!! So Saturday night we headed to Green Bay...got in to Green Bay around 10pm and got checked into our hotel....the thing that most people don't understand about Green Bay is that its 100% football ALL the time!!!
There were already people set up tailgating Saturday night...people were dressed in Packer/cheesehead stuff and going bar hopping, grilling out in the parking lots, partying it up at their houses, etc....they say Packer tailgaters are the most friendly fans you'll ever meet...you can honestly walk up to anyone and join their party...Kevin and I didn't join any parties though..we were too tired!! But we honked at them as we drove by....
Got up early Sunday morning to go meet our friends (the ones that provide us with their extra season tickets which we are grateful for!!) Packers games are sold out YEARS in advance and the waiting list for season tickets is like 200 years...so pretty much I will never get tickets in my lifetime on my own!! So I am very appreciative to Gale and Sandy for allowing us to use a set of tickets (this is the 2nd year they've done that for us!!)
We all met for breakfast...then headed to the stadium....the other thing about Green Bay is it doesn't matter if you have tix for the game or not...people are tailgating everywhere...they're tailgating at Walmart, gas stations, restaurants, and I kid you not a FUNERAL HOME...every business in town turns its parking lots into tailgate parties and people are partying like you wouldn't believe...yes there is hamburgers and brats but there is ribs, lobster, steak, etc..you name it someone is grilling it!!
And yes of course there is BEER (and lots of beer!!!) And everyone yells at you as you walk past "go Pack go"...its so exciting just walking to the stadium!! And then you get inside and its amazing....71,000+ fans all wearing gold/green and an occasional pink packer jersey thrown in for good measure...but the place is just alive with football passion...its not for the faint of heart!!haha
So we got there early enough to watch some of the practice.....here is my man Aaron Rodgers warming up right in front of us!!!
As soon as the anthem finished 4 jets did a fly by and they flew RIGHT over where Kevin and I were sitting...it was so loud in the stadium and it ROCKED!!!
Here they were getting ready to score again.....woo hoo!!!!
After the game Kevin decided to play around.....what a crazy guy (and this was with no beer!!)

WOW Rachel, it sure sounds like an amazing weekend. I can actually feel the excitement in your writing, cool! Glad your team won too!
GO PACKERS~~~~!!!! Hurray!
That is so awesome that you were able to go see the game and you sure had lots of fun!
I was with you in spirit!
Anna and Dick (the Milwaukeean)
How exciting to get those tickets. Sounds like you had the best weekend ever. Thanks for sharing it.
LOTS to say on this one!...
First off, you & Michael may have to share Aaron Rodgers- he really likes him! (I read him your post tonight, & we both could not believe that part about the funeral home parking lot??) Mannn, that is dedication.
Michael taught me, that because they're a publically owned team, all this is possible! That makes perfect sense.
The Cards are privately owned, so there are so many stupid rules- like: You can't even arrive to the parking lot to tail gate until 9am, & you can't stay during the game.
Also, love your pink Packers sweatshirt- so cute/perfect for you!
Love that you had such a great weekend....Can;t wait to see some scrapfest projects....
