I'm Back....

I have decided to start a new blog (I've had so many requests from all of you to keep blogging) so here it is....ta da!!!

I still update my facebook all the time so I can't guarantee I'll keep this up to date 100% but I will try...to be honest a part of me missed blogging..I'm going to keep this blog open and if I have any problems (with said people here in Cameron) then I will turn it private but for now it should be open to all of you..I started a completely NEW blog with a new address and everything so maybe those people won't find me....

WOW a lot has been happening here since I last blogged...

We went to Cancun in December and had the time of our life...infact this year we are trying to go again in December and we have several friends that want to join us if we can get it to work with everyone's schedules. Its a place that Kevin and I really enjoy going..we can have fun, relax, and enjoy the sun!!

Speaking of sun spring has come early here to Wisconsin...do you know this is the first march in over a 100 years that there was no snow in March...UNHEARD of!!! I hope that doesn't mean April is going to be awful..but we won't remove the ice scrapers from the cars just yet!!

Kevin and I have been staying really busy attending Broadway plays, concerts, comedians, etc...we've had something going on almost every weekend since the first of the year and I'm starting to realize I'm too old for all this running around!!haha But its been a great few months!!!

As for my job situation..I started working at United HealthCare in December and although I really liked what I was doing the job itself just wasn't working out...I wasn't functioning well with getting up at 4am leaving the house at 4:30am and getting home around 4pm!! I was just plain worn out..ready to eat dinner and go to bed and do it all over again...the days were starting to run together!! I didn't have plans to leave United but in late February I was headhunted by American Family Insurance as they were looking for an office manager in Rice Lake (similar to what I used to do for State Farm Insurance).

They got my name and number from a business manager from State Farm that referred me to them...I was contacted by Patty and after several meetings with her I decided to take that job...actually I start the new job tomorrow (April 1st!) I am SO EXCITED!!!

So today was my last day at United and it was hard to say goodbye..I made some really good friends there and there were lots of hugs, laughter, and even tears today!! My supervisor was really sad to see me go and I was told by several supervisors and even the head honcho that IF something doesn't work out with my new job I am welcome back with no questions asked so that makes me feel good (and nice to have a backup plan just incase!!)

As for Katy...this girl is amazing!! She continues to be a 4.0 and everything she has competed in this year she has qualified to go to the state level!! She had a competition in February where she placed 1st in Math for our entire region (9-12th grade)...she now goes to the state level in about 2 weeks to compete in Math against the best of the best in the entire state. She also qualified last night to go to the state level for her choir solos (she'll be competing in 3 events).

As for driving...she still doesn't want to go get her license...BUT we're going to make her get it this spring because she wants to get her nursing assistant degree this summer at the college and there is no way I can drive her there and back every day. Plus she wants to start doing some shadowing at the hospital with some different doctors and she's going to have to figure out how to get there during the day. So maybe this summer we'll have a teen driver???

That's about it for now......

Glad you're back, sister!
Congrats again on the new job, and hope you're having a great 1ST day.
Why in the world would Katy NOT want to drive? Good Lord- I literally counted down the hours until I could drive myself OUT of my house! haaa

I'm sooooo glad your back. I don't have the time I use to have writing back and forth, so this gives me the chance to keep up with all your goings on.

Hey, does this mean we get to see your projects too????

Ok, I know I'm asking alot, but can't blame me for asking. lol
