The Weekend

Sorry I didn't get to post any sooner (not even sure if anyone reads this anymore??) as I don't do a great job on keeping it up...

But if anyone is out there.....

We had a nice weekend with my family...it was finally our time to celebrate Christmas with the family so Friday afternoon we headed to Madison to meet up with my sister and Brian and we went to a really nice restaurant/bar to have fish fry (its what Wisconsin people do on a Friday night) and had fun catching up.

Then Saturday my mom and dad came over and we had a nice big dinner, opened up presents, and played some games...it was a great day!! A highlight was that I was able to see my friend Julee who used to live up here but has since moved but she happened to be in the same town I was that weekend....

So we planned to meet up for a few drinks before the Packer game...it was so nice to see her and she's doing wonderfully (she's battling cancer) and her attitude is AMAZING!!! She inspires me in a lot of ways....

Then it was back to my sisters house for the Packer game and the house was so LOUD...but I think everyone in the entire state was cheering that loud so we just added to the noise!! Afterwards we played more games and went to bed around 2am...I was beat!!

Then Sunday morning we were up early again and my mom and sister and I headed to Madison for a Bridal Expo..it was really cool to see some of the ideas that are out there and we saw a bridal fashion show ($$$) WOW am I glad that I'm not paying for the wedding....things are so expensive!!! But Melissa has a decent head on her shoulders and she's working on a budget.

We didn't leave Madison until really late Sunday night as we had to watch the Patriots/Jets game and we were so happy that the Jets won!! I'm not a Patriot or a Tom Brady fan...NO WAY!!!!

So anyway here it is Monday morning and I'm beat...heading to work now and I'm pretty sure I'll be useless!!!
