Fawn de Rosa

This is a heavy photo post...its not too often that Katy has time to spend with us anymore..so I had to take advantage of it and get some photos....

Saturday morning Katy had her state certification board for the nursing assistant test and she PASSED!!! She was so nervous to take the test and demonstrate her skills but she rocked it!!!

She got through the test pretty quickly so she had some free time before she had to go to work at 5pm..so we went to St. Croix Falls and spent some time at Fawn de Rosa..its a wildlife park where they bring animals that are hurt or sick and they can stay there and get healthy.

They have grizzly bears, wolves, bobcats, mountain lions, horses, goats, and of course deer (that's what we're known for in this area)...what's cool as the deer become unafraid of us humans you can pet them and feed them...as you see the animals may have broken legs that are healed (they limp) and many have scars where they've been hit by cars or hurt by other animals, etc....but they're so sweet and love to be petted!!!

Katy is feeding one of the deer a carrot (that's their favorite!!)
They also like corn.....And we found a fawn that was brought in...but she was still too scared to come up to people yet....

The sheep loved Kevin.....

This one followed Katy around the entire fenced in area....he got so hungry he grabbed her bag of corn and took it from her.....it was funny!!
We found a few deer hiding out in a shed...it was cool and shady in there as it was really warm outside yesterday!! As you can see the one standing up has quite a few scars on her body..she was a bit too afraid yet to come any closer.

Afterwards we all went out for Chinese food and then it was time to take Katy to work...at least we got to spend a few hours together as a family!!!

Glad you had some quality time as a family of 3! I'm sure the day will come way too quickly, when my kids are trying to ditch us! : (
